It was 2 weeks before I had to leave my home country to study master's in the UK. We had been planning this trip for so long, and it would have been a perfect last trip with my closest friends!

And it was!

You know the trip will be a successful one when you are going with all your childhood friends! Where you don’t have to think twice before saying anything and where you can crack even your darkest joke without contemplating.

And on the opposite end, here’s a memory that still haunts me sometimes. The time when I was so depressed that I wanted to kill myself.

Can you spot the utter hopelessness and wretchedness behind that smile of mine?

I’m the one in blue. My friend is in the front.

One day out of desperation I told one of my closest college friends about my condition, and he came to visit me 500 KMS away. This gesture made me feel so valued and worthy at that time, and I just cannot appreciate him enough for doing this.

It's funny how opposite your life circumstances can be in just a couple of years. Time is the biggest healer.
