Music was something that I resonated with since childhood. I used to love taking long walks with earphones on and imagining everything as if a live movie premiere was going on of my life’s biopic.

The first time I held a musical instrument was due to one of my friends, Arnav. He was the one who kind of inspired me to try my hand at guitar.

Then during my bachelor's degree, I was too shy and insecure, so I didn’t even take my guitar to the university. And that was it, a break from playing instruments. But I still used to explore music genres and listen to them.

6 years later, when I was suffering from extreme depression and anxiety, I stumbled upon this song called “I love you” by Riopy.

It was so beautiful and moving, that I couldn’t help but imagine myself playing that song on a piano. I asked my friend Arnav to learn it, but he didn’t as he was also busy with his business.

One day, when I was at his place, still struggling with my thoughts, I just opened a tutorial for that song and started trying to play it.

In those 4–5 minutes of playing, I forgot all my anxieties, my headache kind of alleviated and after months, I finally felt a little better.

After a few days, I borrowed my friend’s keyboard and started learning more songs, and I fell in love with it.

Then I bought my own keyboard and continued playing. Around that time I also started taking medicines for my Bi-Polar Disorder and my overall health started getting better.

I played in the Emporium Mall, Delhi

More than a year later, I am in the UK and I bought a secondhand keyboard here, and I play it almost daily.

Music makes life feel better for me.
